I went to the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa and stumbled upon a work that caught my eye, called “Inflammatory Essays” by Jenny Holzer. This piece was composed of a series of short essays printed on coloured paper covering a wall. Many of them were interesting and caught my attention for a number of reasons, and so I’m going to share a number of them over the next week. These essays were written by Jenny to explore different extreme viewpoints, not her own personal views. I also do not share all of the viewpoints expressed in these essays.
